Jeffrey Lawrence Hermann was born on December 19th, 1978 in Pasadena, California. His parents, Hans and Linda were thrilled to have their first child, but were understandably nervous as he was almost a month premature. As his parents explain it, little Jeff just couldn't wait to see Christmas. Shortly after, younger brother Gregory was born (with no complications) to complete the Hermann family.

In elementary school in Glendora, California, little Jeff excelled in his subjects despite his status as the dorky kid with the thick plastic rimmed glasses. As he progressed through school into high school he maintained his good academics while becoming involved in the Boy scouts and the high school band.

Shortly before graduating high school, Jeff was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout after a long career with the Boy Scouts, that included working at the national training camp, and serving as an explorer post president. At the same time, Jeff was making plans to attend college at the University of California, San Diego.

When Jeff moved to San Diego to start school, he was fortunate enough to have a job waiting as an intern at a small startup firm, Aeronex, Inc..

Jeff worked his way through college for five years, flip-flopping between majors, and eventually settling with a brand new program: Interdisiplinary Computing in the Arts Major. He studied a mix of computer science, graphic design, and new media. He gained international recognition with his "Gameman" project, as it was featured in several magazines around the world, and was shown at various art shows around Southern California.

Jeff has continued his career at Aeronex since his days as a lowly intern. He worked his way up in the company to engineering assistant, drafter, and up to software engineer. When Aeronex was acquired by the Mykrolis Corporation in 2003, Jeff was offered the position of Program Manager, which he graciously accepted.

Jeff enjoys working on and taking Cami for rides in his 1955 Buick Special. He also spends time wrenching on his sometimes working 1968 Honda CB350 motorcycle. Jeff also has a special passion for collecting old video game systems, and has built a replica of an early 80's Pacman arcade table.
